Beware of Scammers Posing as Amazon

Phishing and Spoofing Emails

Scammers are targeting Amazon customers with phishing emails and text messages that appear to come from Amazon. These messages may contain suspicious links that, when clicked, lead to websites that steal your personal information. Never click on links in messages that you are not expecting.

Phone Calls and Text Messages

Scammers may also call or text you about a supposed suspicious charge on your Amazon account. They may ask you to provide personal information, such as your password or credit card number, to "resolve" the issue. Do not give out sensitive information over the phone or text message.

Gift Card Scams

One common scam involves scammers asking you to pay with a gift card or purchase gift cards for non-gift purposes. This is always a scam. Amazon will never ask you to pay for anything with a gift card.
