Weather System Prompts Closures Across Eastern North Carolina

Schools, Businesses, and Government Offices Closed Due to Winter Storm

A powerful winter storm has brought heavy snow and ice to eastern North Carolina, prompting the closure of schools, businesses, and government offices across the region. The storm, which began moving through the area on Sunday, has dumped several inches of snow and caused widespread power outages.

All public schools in eastern North Carolina have been closed due to the storm. Business Closures

Many businesses in eastern North Carolina have also closed due to the storm. Power Outages

The storm has also caused widespread power outages across eastern North Carolina. As of Monday morning, over 100,000 customers were without power in the region. The power outages are expected to continue throughout the day as crews work to restore power.
